Relaunching the WhichVenture YouTube Channel
Started 2 September 2026
What happened
WhichVenture already had an established YouTube channel with 1,764 subscribers, but it had been largely dormant and contained a mix of legacy client videos and older content. Despite that, the channel still generated 66.7k views and 6.3k watch hours over the previous 365 days, with one evergreen snooker-table video accounting for most of the traffic. Rather than start again from zero, the decision was made to relaunch the existing channel around the new WhichVenture proposition. The plan is to keep useful legacy videos live for now, gradually introduce original WhichVenture content, and use a mix of long-form videos and Shorts created with HeyGen, Krea and ChatGPT. The new content will focus on testing and evaluating realistic income opportunities, with the website acting as the main destination for Venture Finder results, detailed research and resources. Monetisation has not yet been activated. The channel already exceeds the subscriber threshold and appears to have sufficient annual watch time, but the existing content mix needs to be cleaned up before applying so the channel clearly reflects the new WhichVenture identity. The WhichVenture YouTube channel was originally created on 16 April 2009 and had accumulated 1.76k subscribers, 286 videos and over 1.19 million lifetime views. In September 2026, the channel was repositioned and relaunched around the new WhichVenture model. Much of the original channel content was filmed using a Sony professional video camera and edited in Sony Vegas, reflecting a traditional production workflow before the current AI-assisted approach.
Lessons learned
An old digital asset can still have significant value even when it has been neglected. Starting with an existing subscriber base and organic YouTube recommendation traffic is very different from launching a new channel from zero. However, historic views and subscribers are only useful if the new content can successfully reposition the audience around the new brand. The relaunch also highlighted the importance of content ownership and channel consistency. Legacy videos may generate useful watch time, but they can also complicate monetisation if the overall channel looks like a mixed archive rather than a coherent original brand.
Current verdict
Promising but unproven. WhichVenture has a useful head start with an existing audience and organic traffic, but the real test is whether new original content can attract the right viewers, drive traffic to WhichVenture.com and create monetisable income through YouTube, affiliate links and digital products.
